You know how I love things that are awesome, inspiring and uplifting? I have something to share with you that is exactly that, and you may want to be a part of it too. It’s called The Imperfect Boss.
The Imperfect Boss Movement
I recently joined a movement called The Imperfect Boss. A lot of women entrepreneurs make it look so easy – everything is always perfect. But behind the scenes, it’s really not. It can be a mess, but we put our best foot forward to make it look like everything is running smoothly.
So it’s time to give ourselves a break. Embrace your flaws, recognize that your imperfections are part of what makes you so amazing. Because truly, everything that makes you who you are is part of your awesome package.
About the Movement
The movement will include viral social media campaigns to encourage women to reframe their thoughts about themselves. Encouragement, community and other’s confessions aim to help other women find their inner imperfect bosses.
You can participate by including the hashtag #theimperfectboss and share images that include a confession about your own imperfection as well. There is also a Facebook group.
This week, I’m participating in the #imperfectboss campaign where bossbabes around the world will be sharing confessions of their imperfections. Why? Because sometimes it looks like life is perfect, when behind the scenes it really can be quite messy. And that’s okay. We need to give ourselves a break and embrace our perfect imperfection. ⠀ ⠀ We also have a couple of blog posts on the topic at The Awesome Muse. http://buff.ly/2lf1fNR and http://buff.ly/2leVpM8. Please check them out and share them to help others feel the inspiration behind the campaign’s idea.⠀ ⠀

It’s a great, feel good movement, and may help you to let go of your struggles with imperfection if you tend toward perfectionism.
